Bobby Flay says his Instagram Q&A responses are spontaneous and take less than four minutes to complete

Fans frequently ask about his relationship with girlfriend and fellow Food Network star Brooke Williamson

“I think probably the most popular ones are when people ask me about Brooke and cooking and stuff like that, because for some reason, people are interested in my love life,” he says

Bobby Flay is revealing the process behind his popular Instagram Q&As.

The celebrity chef, who frequently answers fans’ questions about his Food Network series on social media, chatted with PEOPLE about the queries he gets during the 2026 South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF).

“I literally answer those questions, I swear to you, in less than four minutes,” he says. “My team gives me the questions, they write through all the questions, they give them to me. I answer them right away. And I want them to be very spontaneous.”

The Beat Bobby Flay star noted that he’s frequently asked about his girlfriend of nearly a year, fellow Food Network star Brooke Williamson.

“I think probably the most popular ones are when people ask me about Brooke and cooking and stuff like that, because for some reason, people are interested in my love life,” he laughs. “I'm not really sure why, but they are. So have at it.”

Flay also said the episode of his podcast, Bobby on the Beat, that featured an interview with Williamson was the most popular.

“People want to hear the story of our relationship,” he says. “And also, she's got her own story as being a chef. So tons of interest there.”

Other past episodes of the podcast, which Flay launched in November, have included visits from culinary personalities such as Bobby’s Triple Threat titan Ayesha Nurdjaja and chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson.

“Ayesha has been an amazing addition to the titans on Triple Threat, and she's had a wonderful year and she deserves it,” he says. “She's a Brooklyn girl, and she's got this great attitude about life and cooking, and she's been incredibly exciting.”

And Samuelsson, he adds, “has one of the most interesting stories a chef could possibly have.”

Flay says hosting the podcast has been “really fun.”

“It's informal and easy, and also I get to tell stories and get stories told by people in the industry in a way that they haven't probably talked about their lives before,” he says. “And Bobby on the Beat, it's all positive. We're not looking for any gotcha moments or anything like that. It's basically just to raise up everybody who participates in the industry.”

The biggest challenge is “getting people to tune in,” he says.

He adds, “I think you have to be patient and put out good quality content that people want to listen to and just basically continue to do it in a way that is beautiful.”
