David Beckham wrote a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Victoria Beckham, for her 52nd birthday
The soccer legend shared throwback photos and a sweet caption for his wife of 26 years
He also took a playful dig at the Spice Girl alum about being "working class," a now-viral moment from his 2023 Netflix documentary
David Beckham is wearing his heart on his sleeve.
The soccer legend, 50, paid tribute to his wife, Victoria Beckham, with a special post for her 52nd birthday on Friday, April 17, featuring throwback photos of the couple and a sweet note in celebration of the former Spice Girl's special day.
"Happy Birthday to the one & only Posh Spice 🩷 we love you so much and we will make sure you have the most special day because as the best Wife , Mum , friend & of course gym partner you deserve too.🩷 Happy Birthday We Love You 🩷 @victoriabeckham 🩷," he wrote on Instagram.

The first photo in the roundup is a throwback picture of the British pop singer performing on stage, wearing an all-black ensemble featuring a sleeveless top, miniskirt and coordinating belt. The second shot was a photo of her jumping up and down on a bed, beaming at the camera.
The third and fourth photos were major throwbacks of Victoria as a child, including one snapped on her birthday and another posing by a car. The fifth picture sees Victoria posing in between her parents, Jackie and Anthony Adams.

Then, David shared cute throwbacks of himself and Victoria, including a snapshot of the singer sitting on the soccer player's lap, another of them all glammed up at a party and one more where they're embracing in swimsuits by the ocean.
The soccer star concluded his multi-photo roundup with a polished headshot of Victoria in black and white, rocking a shoulder-length hairstyle and wearing a white button-down blouse.

In the comment section, Victoria replied: "I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Additionally, David showed love to his wife in his Instagram Stories — and even poked a little fun at her too with text that read, "To my working class wife, happy birthday. We love you." He added, "Be honest."
The lighthearted dig was in reference to a now-viral clip from Netflix's Beckham docuseries, released in October 2023, in which the soccer legend playfully interrupted Victoria as she talked to the cameras.

The Spice Girls alum was talking about how she and David come from families that were "very working class," and as she was finishing her thought, her husband took matters into his own hands.
"Be honest," David said, laughing, as he poked his head into the interview room.
"I am being honest," Victoria replied.
David, who didn't seem convinced, then asked his wife, “What car did your dad drive you to school in?”
After some additional back and forth about the specifics of the vehicle, Victoria then folded. "OK, in the '80s, my dad had a Rolls Royce."
"Thank you," David responded with a grin, before ducking out of the room.
