There’s a new addition to the cast, and fans are already excited about the “adorable” new addition to the beloved cast of the Netflix hit.

In a post shared to social media, “penned” by Lady Whistledown herself, the fictional ton gossip reveals exciting news about the upcoming season of Bridgerton. She writes:
“The new Lord Featherington has arrived. Welcome to the world, Elliot Bridgerton!”
Colin and Penelope Welcome Baby Elliot
In the post, Lady Whistledown reveals that Mr. Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Mrs. Penelope Bridgerton (née Featherington) (Nicola Coughlan) have welcomed a baby boy, Lord Elliot Featherington. Lady Whistledown gives readers a peek at the adorable new addition, who fans think bears a stunning resemblance to his TV mom, portrayed by Coughlan.
“Hello, Elliot, Lord Featherington! You look just like your Mama Whistledown!” shared one excited fan of the books and TV show. Another added, “Welcome to the family. Such a sweet baby.”

Bridgerton Season 4 Premiere Date and Plot Details
The Bridgerton baby announcement comes ahead of the Season 4 premiere on January 29, 2026. The eight-episode Season 4 features the love story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his Cinderella-inspired romance with new character Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a maid he meets at a masquerade ball. Season 4 of the hit show will continue with other couples, including Colin and Penelope and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), as well as Eloise (Claudia Jesse).

Fans are already buzzing about the upcoming season. Rhimes’ Shondaland productions continues to share its 12 Days of Bridgerton series to social media, which reveals a new Season 4 spoiler each day.
The Grey’s Anatomy producer has already given fans a look at Benedict and Sophie, as well as a tease of the season’s masquerade ball at which Benedict meets Sophie.
When Bridgerton Season 4 Will Be Released
Fans will have to settle for the snippets of what Season 4 has in store, as if Lady Whistledown herself is sharing news of the current courting and marriage season. Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 is scheduled to be released on January 29. Part 2 is set for release on February 26.
