Rumer Willis is sharing how she handles criticism of her parenting.
In an interview with E! News, the 37-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore opened up about recent criticism she'd received after revealing that she breastfeeds her 3-year-old daughter, Louetta. Willis, who shares her daughter with ex Derek Richard Thomas, said that she's just trying to find places to "connect" with others.
“Well, you know what’s funny? Look, I’m not naive to the fact that I have had a different level of privilege or I’ve just kind of grown up in a different world, and that there will always be a divide with certain things," Willis began.

"I can say I’m struggling as a single mom, but there’s just a level that’s different. And I understand that," she continued. "And my goal is not to try and behave in this way that seems like I’m totally unconscious to what’s going on."
"But I’m really trying to find the places that are the same, that we can connect. That we can support each other. And I might not do that the best sometimes, but I think it’s important that we can find ways that we can uplift each other."

The mom went on to say that some days can be a "challenge" and that she knows everyone is just trying to be "understood" and "seen."
"You can have a day where somebody pops off, and it doesn’t bother me, and sometimes it really does," she says, adding that "the breastfeeding thing, honestly, above all, I just don’t even care because it’s just so crazy."
In April, Willis shared a video clapping back to some negative comments about her parenting — specifically her decision to breastfeed Louetta.
"People literally looked at her when she was like a year and a half, and I posted a photo of her, and they were like, ‘That’s disgusting. She’s so old,' " Willis recalled to E! News. "And I was like, ‘Okay, literally everywhere other than the US, the average breastfeeding age is to wean is between 4 and 7.’ So people are just so aggressive about it. It kind of makes me laugh."
"People get so hopped up about it,” she added. “Everybody has opinions. Everybody has opinions about how you should parent, whether you should sleep with your kid, what you should feed them, what you should wear. It’s kind of part of the game."
