The Powerball jackpot for Monday’s drawing is $33 million with a $15.2 million cash value - less than a week after a ticket sold in Arkansas won $1.8 billion on Christmas Eve - one of the richest lottery prizes in U.S. history.
To date, no one has claimed last week’s jackpot, but ticket expiration dates typically range from 90 days to 1 year, depending on the U.S. state or territory where the ticket was purchased. The expiration date is often listed on the back of your ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, check with your local lottery office.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to the lottery website.

How to play Powerball
Powerball tickets are $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. You can do this at a variety of locations, including a local convenience store, gas station, or even grocery store. In some states, Powerball tickets can be bought online depending on local jurisdiction.Once you have your ticket, you need to pick six numbers. Five of them will be white balls numbered 1 to 69.
